TVGuide.com's Michael Ausiello reports exclusively that Danny Glover will join
the cast of Brothers & Sisters in 8-10 episodes this season, as Senator
Robert McCallister's (Rob Lowe) presidential campaign manager. He is described
as extremely smart and charming, but also as a political shark.
Mr. Glover will also play Sally Field's new love interest on the show.

The wonderful John Barrowman, star of the Dr. Who spinoff Torchwood, gave an
in-depth interview to Who recently and opened up about a lot of subjects
including the fact that he was offered the role of Rob Lowe's gay brother [and
Matthew Rhys' lover] on ABC's Brothers & Sisters.
He and Lowe became friends when they co-starred in A Few Good Men on the London stage
a few years back and Lowe recommended him for the role. But Barrowman is far too busy these
days with roles in two hit series on the BBC.
Here's what John said about Rob in the interview:

What was it like to co-star with Rob Lowe in A Few Good Men on the
London stage?
Rob was good. I thought he might've been one of those
Hollywood guarded people but I got to know him and he let his guard down around
me. He was a fun guy to be around.
He has a saucy, dirty personality that I
really like. His wife is lovely and his two boys are fantastic. He's a genuine
guy, a little hard to get to know at first but once he realises you're not out
to get him, his guard came down and he was really nice.
Scott loved him. He
became speechless. I'm like, 'Scott! You can't do this. It's Rob.' And he's
like, 'I know. But he's so gorgeous.'
The other thing I was offered was a part
as his brother on Brothers & Sisters. Rob actually recommended me to
the producers and they offered me the role but I couldn't make the shooting
schedule. But how nice is that! To work with someone like that and for them to
recommend me!

ROB PROMOTES BROTHERS & SISTERS
IN LONDON, ENGLAND
Rob is headed to London, England to promote Brothers & Sisters. Season One begins on June 20th
and will air on Channel 4 in the UK.
He's scheduled to appear on The Jonathan Ross Show on June 15th to talk about the show and
the upcoming release of the B&S DVD.
